Enson Inoue
YoungGunsMMA met up with the Hawaii born MMA fighter Enson Inoue at the Fisticuffs Gym in Vancouver, Washington. Enson, who now resides in Japan is a Relson Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt and a former Shooto Heavyweight Champion.
He is credited with developing "Inoue Grappling", a hybrid martial art taught at Grappling Unlimited in Aiea, Hawaii. It is based largely on Brazilian jiu-jitsu with elements from boxing, wrestling and other martial arts integrated into the techniques.
Known as Yamato Damashii (Warrior Spirit), a name given to Enson by the Japanese people; has fought in notable organizations such as PRIDE and UFC.
Now retired, Enson owns Purebred Gyms in Japan (4 gyms -- Purebred Osaka, Purebred Omiya, Purebred Fukuoka, and Purebred Kyoto), Purebred Guam (Spike 22), Saipan (TrenchTech), and Thailand.
