Lets here from some parents! What do you think about MMA?

How do you feel about the sport compared to Football, _base_ball, Basketball? etc.... for your kids.

IMHO, MMA is the most exciting sport out there right now. I've always been a big boxing fan, but after watching MMA, boxing has lost some of its luster. Of course there are exceptions, like Manny Pacquiao. Football is still fun for me to watch, but the adrenaline comes in doses instead of being non-stop.

I think MMA will continue to grow in popularity, and more kids will start training young. This site is proof that the trend has already started!

We exposed our kids to many traditional American sports, like football, _base_ball, basketball, etc. Kai loves football and basketball, but being one of the smaller kids in his class, I'm not sure what his long-term future will be in those sports. He has really fallen in love with wrestling and judo. Since those competitions are _base_d on weight, he's not at a disadvantage because he's a little guy. Also, if he's continues to wrestle, he can do it in junior high, HS, and maybe even college (can you say scholarship?). Long-term who knows, but for now he can't get enough wrestling, judo, boxing, etc. We are going to some kind of training five days a week now, and at least one tournament a month!

MMA is awesome! My two sons love it! One 10 and one 2. I let them both watch! They both are very humble and respectful. I think if it is explained that it is a sport and it is watched very carefully. There are bad seeds (role models) as in any sport. It's like every one is human and no one asks to be made into a role model. Sometimes the spotlight can make you do crazy things, no excuse to use drugs though. Kids, that'll never do you any good! So that's my two sense! Aaron

To see a youngster from the USA, unfortunately the only place with a huge obese child population, put down the candy, drink some water, shut off the video games and go running because they know they need it or challenge themselves with a skill that test their heart, mind, and body, well, it makes me think maybe there is something really right about MMA, Some say it is brutal to teach violence, I say it is wrong not to teach respect, the rewards of hard work, and perserverance to achieving a goal. That and this country used to be tough. What happened?
